Although I had started drawing flowers, people and copying  Japanese Art, I began to search for a theme I could use for inspiration. I had always heard that an artist must draw on their life experiences for their art.  Since I had traveled extensively, I decided to "virtually" revisit the place I had seen.  The Internet provided ideas for each of the pictures.

I lived in Germany and I traveled through out Europe.

One trip was to Holland in April to see the tulips

We crossed the Channel to England

Stopped in Brussels on the way back to Heidelberg from England.
Had a wonderful omelet in the Main Square with all the guild houses
bathed in a soft golden glow in the snow

Every place we wanted to go was about 8 hours away from Heidelberg.

Italy beckoned for our vacation and in two weeks we saw a great deal.
We went through Switzerland on the way.

After John and I were married, we took many trips to Greece
